Head
Coach, Mark Winter
has been coaching swimming since 1987. He has been with the Sturgeons
since 2001. Mark is a graduate of Bowling Green State
University with
many personal swimming accomplishments including State Champion, Junior
National Finalist, Senior National Qualifier, and 4-time State
Championship Assistant Coach.

Head
Coach, Bob Jenrow,
has been coaching since 1977. He joined the Sturgeons in 2001. Bob has
coached a number of USA
swim clubs and High School teams and has numerous coaching awards
including ‘Coach of the Year’ in 1993 along with 5 State
Championships. His youth team was the Clarenceville
Swim Club and he placed 4th in MI High School Championships.
Bob graduated from Oakland
University and was
a 7-time All-American and All-Conference swimmer.

Assistant Coach, Cammy Jenrow brings 20 years of teaching and instructional swimming to the
Sturgeons. She joined our coaching staff in 2007. Cammy specializes
in technique instruction and works closely with the Developmental and
Junior Teams.

Assistant Coach, Mark VanderMey, has been coaching
since 1987. He came to the
Sturgeons in 2007. Mark coached for over 10 years including Coach
Bob’s 12 and under coach at BBA.
While he has coached swimmers to earn state records and to qualify
for national level meets, Coach Mark feels his strength is in stroke
technique. Along with coaching, he
has served on swim team boards as a parent and has been meet director for
many swim meets. Mark graduated
from Oakland
University as a 27
time NCAA All-American. He was a
five-time National Champion and two-time National Record holder. Mark was World Ranked in the
Breaststroke in 1986 and 1987, was a member of the USA National team that
swam at the Goodwill Games in Moscow, USSR in 1986, and swam in the 1988
Olympic Trials.

Assistant
Coach, Teri Ohlgren, has been
an age group swim coach since 1991, She coached
for 4 years in North Carolina, before
moving to Michigan
in 1997. Most recently Teri was head coach of the Bulldog Aquatic Club,
before joining the Sturgeons in 2008. Teri has experience teaching
technique to young swimmers and with coaching national level swimmers.
